Welcome to My Blog
This site, this blog, these rosaries are a product of love. We all have a story. I have a story, too. I hope to share some of myself and some of my story through this blog. For now, know that I have a strong faith which is a gift from God (Ephesians 2:8). My desire is to love as Jesus loves. I know I can not do this on my own but “I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me” (Phil 4:13)
My Purpose and My Life
God has blessed my husband and me with 10 children, 4 of whom are in heaven. I never imagined how my life would change with each and every one. Life is fuller. Life is richer. Life has more purpose. I love each one of them beyond measure. I will share more about them later. I can not imagine a life without them.
Daily Reading and Reflection
Part of my prayer routine is to read or listen to the “Daily Readings”. The Catholic Church has set readings for each day of the year. Today’s readings included Mark 6:1-6. This is one of my favorite readings. There are many scriptures readings I would include among my favorites. In verse 4 “Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his native place and among his own kin and in his own house.” I am not a prophet but I can relate. Those who know us best see us through different glasses. We may not be taken seriously or questioned and challenged in unique ways because we are “too known”.
A Mother's Heart
Our Lord has touched my heart. My heart will never be the same. Tomorrow is the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord in the Catholic Church. The Gospel reading is from chapter 2 of Luke. Joseph and Mary, out of obedience to Jewish law, brought the Messiah to the temple. There they met Simeon, a righteous and devout man. Simeon waited his entire life to see Christ. Simeon explained to Mary why her own heart (soul in some translations) will be pierced. Mary had a Mother’s heart. Mary HAS a mother’s heart. She has touched my heart too. She is my mother. Mary has drawn me in to love and appreciate the Rosary. And I believe she has led and guided me into making rosaries for others. So it is quite appropriate to announce the Pieta Presence official website on February 2nd. God bless you and your families!
